About
CPN
Currently CPN is divided into three regions: Piedmont, which
includes the Triad and surrounding areas; Eastern, which
includes the Triangle and all areas East; and Western, which
includes the greater Charlotte Mecklenburg are and all areas
west. The ultimate goal will be to develop more regions,
including the Asheville area and Wilmington area, as we
begin to recruit members in those areas. The regional meetings
have historically been held on a regular schedule with dates
that do not conflict with the other regions (to allow members
to visit other regions without missing their local meeting).
The Piedmont region meets on the second Tuesday of the month;
the West meets on the second Wednesday of the month, and
East meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Regional
meetings are scheduled for those months that do not include
a statewide meeting or event, including the annual meeting.
The regional meetings are normally held at the same time
each month at a set location; however, the regional leadership
teams are free to adjust the local meeting schedule and
venue as appropriate.
Each region hosts one statewide
meeting per year, which are considered opportunities for
members to invite guests/potential new members, to introduce
them to CPN. The Western region hosts the statewide meeting
in February, the Eastern region hosts the June meeting and
Piedmont is the host for the September meeting. Statewide
meetings are normally held on the third Thursday of the
month at 4:00 pm, although there are occasionally exceptions.
The venue is usually a facility or site of particular interest
to the construction industry, and the speaker/program should
also be relevant to CPN members and industry leaders. Other
statewide meetings include the Owners Forum and the December
Social.
