Annual Conference

The CPN Annual Conference is held each spring during the month of April. This weekend event serves many purposes including: election of officers for the coming year, state of the association recap from the outgoing president and the incoming president lists goals to be achieved during the coming year, as well as an opportunity for members and their spouses to get to know each other in a relaxed, resort setting – establish relationships both professional and personal.

A Board Planning session kicks off the conference on Friday. Incoming Board members, departing Board members as well as outgoing and incoming committee chairs meet to share strategic plans, establish goals and review issues. Friday evening is a fun-celebration that includes a silent auction of items donated from members across the state. Proceeds from the silent action go to fund the CPN Scholarship Program.

Saturday morning begins with a general business session that includes the election of incoming officers. During the business session, the incoming president addresses the membership to outline the goals for the coming year. A featured speaker is also part of the program. Capping off the morning events is the presentation of selected Star Award projects. Continuing education credits are available.

Saturday night is a gala, black-tie event that is highlighted by the announcement of the annual Star Award winning projects.

The annual conference committee has the pleasure to plan and direct all the functions of the Annual Conference to ensure the maximum benefit to the CPN Membership. This includes the coordination of all activities, association business and social, with the Executive Director, Executive Committee and the Star Awards Committee.
