Scholarships

In order to assist in the education of the future leaders of the construction industry and to create an alliance between themselves and the North Carolina institutions that provide construction industry education, the membership of the Construction Professionals Network of North Carolina, Inc. (CPN) establishes an annual scholarship award.

Participating Institutions
Recognizing the construction industry curriculums already in place, CPN wishes to establish a rotating scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a student enrolled at North Carolina State University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte or Western Carolina University.

Award
The scholarship award will be $1,000 each semester for the Fall and Spring semesters totaling $2,000.

Funding
The scholarship will initially be funded by the proceeds of the silent auction at the CPN annual meeting and voluntary contributions from members. Other fund raising opportunities suggested by the CPN scholarship committee will be submitted to the CPN Board of Directors for approval.

Recipients
The scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying student at one of the above named institutions who is:

a United States citizen
paying the in-state rate for tuition
a junior, senior, or fifth year student
pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or Land Surveying in preparation for a career in the construction industry

Selection
Selection will be made by appropriate faculty members based on the merits of the individual. Click here for a listing of application and selection criteria.
